Suicidal Coke


How this happened is beyond me…

After decades of hard work geared towards creating a strong brand that is cool, dynamic, somewhat magical if you will; with Marketing teams lead by Zyman and the like – how is it possible to end up with something like this:

(It says: The food is whispering … The food is insisting … The food is thirsty for Coca Cola).

Actually, there is a better version with a real greasy pork chop – but I couldn’t find the video. Perhaps someone had the decency to remove it in order to prevent the less stable people from experiencing shock.

My first reaction: This is financed by Pepsi.

I bet the Coke HQ are completely clueless that some of the local markets are attempting brand suicide …

    I am rolling my eyes at this. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of Zyman too. At the first Marketing Innovation Forum, I got a chance to ask him a question and then during the book signing he asked if I was happy with the answer he’d given me. I almost DIED.

    My boss got to go to that lecture, but not me :(
