Let’s go for Coffee

How many times have you called up friends with the line “Let’s go for coffee” only to find out that when you get together you are drinking anything but coffee? The world’s coffee consumption decreases by 2% every year, however the phrase never dies. I use this line all the time although it has been 7 months now that I stopped drinking coffee.

How many examples like that can you think of? … A former boss of mine used to tell me “Google it in Yahoo”.

It amazes me that there are still some professors who teach their students in early Marketing classes that the best you can do is to have your brand name become the generic name for the category (Xerox, Hoover, Kleenex, etc.).

Really?? Even if people are buying your competitors’ products while calling them by your name you still think that’s great?
